Frequently Asked Questions

Is there parking?

There is free parking available on 4th Street and Commerce Street. 

Are you wheelchair accessible?

We have handicap parking available on Commerce Street. All exhibits are on the First floor.

Do you have admission fee?

We suggest a $5 donation for adults. Children and museum members are FREE. 

Do you offer memberships?

Yes, we offer memberships. You can complete the membership online or stop by the museum to complete a membership form.

What are your hours?

The museum is open on Thursday - Sunday from 1pm to 5pm and by appointment at other times. 

Do you offer tours?

Yes, we offer tours. For groups larger than 10, please RSVP within 2 weeks before tour date to ensure enough available staff. 

Are animals allowed?

Service animals are welcomed to the museum. 

Is photography permitted?

Photography is permitted with no flash. 

What is your artifact donation policy?

We accept photographs, documents, objects, and more that pertain to the history of the Palacios area, which includes Blessing, Cape Carancahua, Collegeport, El Maton, Midfield, and Turtle Bay. Please contact the museum if you are not sure your items meets the accepted criteria.
